Attention!
Jun 22, 2023Women in Business who hear about “servant leadership”!! This has a flaw you must understand, or you’ll keep ending up exhausted, burnt out, and resentful.
Again.
If you’ve heard that you should dedicate yourself to serving your clients and that you must focus on giving so you can feel good about receiving money, please be mindful because this can easily end you up with nothing “left to give”.
Sure, you’ve cashed in some mullah, and you gave great service to others, but that won’t give you back your energy.
Exhausted, you have to take time off and the foot off the pedal of your business to recover, and that means you have to start again with twice the effort to launch your rocket into orbit. Gravity is a bitch.
HERE IS THE CRUX:
Women are givers by tradition, condition, and culture. And it’s “normal” for women to exhaust themselves in the service of others. It’s nothing new!
So please, women, do not try that in your business unless you want to build another chain around your ankle.
If you want to create more freedom for yourself, start here: Stop OVER-serving, giving, and pleasing.
Start creating powerful solutions, facilitating change, and having a mighty good time co-creating in (paid) partnerships (hallelujah)
I’m saying you will do better expanding your capacity of receiving and shifting paradigms.
Set up structures that serve YOU first and your clients, too. It takes courage. It takes thought. It takes faith. To be that brave, put yourself first and explore the solutions behind the borders of the obvious.
Funny enough, if you learn to do that, you will actually serve your clients better. We CAN have it all.
I commend you.
I cheer you on.
I will guide you.
