I get motivated. I start, I run, I sprint and get out of breath and rest. Fall behind, lose mojo, give up. Rinse repeat.
Sound familiar?

I want a more feminine, gentle way, so I look for those with gentle ways who often don’t have big businesses, so it looks like the only way to the top is climbing and pushing forward.

I think back to training and healing my voice. My voice was dysfunctional. When I focussed on form, I lost it. It made me sad to have to look at basic voice production. Like a baby learning to walk, but I was in my 20s trying to be a professional.

I wanted success! I wanted results, not just to feel good. I want to feel deserving and accomplished. It was: heal or be done.

The big gap between high and low sounds became smooth, and I found a bridge that felt like a rainbow slide. When I go on the rainbow slide, the quality of sound feels magical; the tone is so tender and vibrant. In fact, when the portals to effortlessness opened, it felt like my voice was guided by a silver string of surrender. And as I followed it, tones poured out of me that I ‘couldn’t make’ - they were made through me. And that was a visceral experience of being guided, of being a vessel through which something greater can flow forth.

I can go back to taking over any time, but it’s a different sound, a different feeling.
