Today's insight: relax and go big.
May 12, 2022Who else has a desire to be bigger in the world? And yet the fear that holds you back is that you don't quite know how, or if you can really deliver?
You know you're called for more, to show up more, be bolder and share your light...more. You are kind of doing it but your next level is waiting.
It's great to feel you were born for more. It's fu**ing frustrating to live in your own shadow knowing the only one holding you back is ehm, well, you.
But what if you don't have the energy it takes and give up yet again before you reach your goal? Or worry that your goal will let you down in the end...
Like when I cried in my hotel room as I was "living the dream" being on a Prime Time TV show. You probably know that what we want from the success we desire is not always what we get. Do you ever talk yourself out of your own dreams? Because they are just too big?
If so, you’re not alone. I know what it feels like. And the disappointment that comes with this. Here’s a different approach I play with and I'm inviting you along: Relax and go big.
We're already good at getting disappointed by things not working out, working out differently, or us not being bothered enough to make them work out. So how about loosening the grip on the vision and relaxing into being "just" you. What if we could relax and do it "anyway"?
I can't keep up with the image I hold up of myself. My best self is great but she's too much for me on a daily basis if I'm honest. The problem with living this best self is that the success she might bring puts me under pressure to be more of that amazing version of me. And I don't feel up to the task! I’m not that amazing every day. I can brush up and wow. Ok. Yes. But I need the decompression and the not-being wow-time. Just being little mundane me who likes to watch stand up, gets her kids to bed too late because we got caught up in a tickle therapy session and flirts with too many men at the same time despite needing to sleep. Oops did I just eat something containing sugar. Shhht.
So what if...that was ok. What if you could relax and go big? Go big and relax about what that means, could be, should be?
